1. Overview
We want you to be satisfied with what you buy. This policy explains refund eligibility for our three kinds of offerings — Academy courses, software products, and advisory services. It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service. Where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country gives you stronger rights, those rights apply and nothing here limits them.
2. Academy courses (digital content)
- Satisfaction window. You may request a full refund on a course within [14] days of purchase, provided you have not substantially accessed or completed it — as a guideline, no more than [20%] of the lessons viewed and no certificate issued.
- Certificates. Once a course is completed and a certificate has been issued to your account, that purchase is no longer refundable.
- Statutory right of withdrawal (EU/UK and similar). If you are a consumer with a legal "cooling-off" right, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Because courses are digital content delivered immediately, at checkout you can ask us to start your access right away and acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right once access begins. Until you begin accessing the course, your statutory withdrawal right is unaffected.
3. Third-party costs are not refundable by us
Refunds cover what you paid Edova. They do not cover money you spent with third parties while following a course — for example AI API-usage charges (Anthropic, Voyage), cloud/hosting fees, or the Apple Developer Program fee. Those are governed by the relevant third party's own refund terms.
4. Software products
Refunds and cancellations for software products are governed by the plan or subscription terms presented at purchase. As a default: one-time product purchases may be refunded within [14] days if the product has not been materially used; subscriptions can be cancelled at any time to stop future renewals, and the current period is generally non-refundable except where required by law. [Adjust to your actual product terms.]
5. Advisory services
Advisory engagements are governed by the specific statement of work or agreement you sign. Deposits and work already performed are generally non-refundable; cancellation terms are set out in that agreement. [Adjust to your engagement terms.]
6. How to request a refund
Email [refunds/support email] from the address on your account, or use our contact page, with your order number and the reason for the request. We aim to respond within [5] business days.
7. How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method via our payment processor. After we approve a refund, it typically takes [5–10] business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer. We refund the amount you paid us, including any tax collected.
8. Abuse and chargebacks
We may decline refunds where we reasonably believe the policy is being abused (for example repeated buy-complete-refund cycles, or sharing/redistribution of materials). If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us first — filing a chargeback before contacting us can delay resolution and may result in account suspension while the dispute is investigated.
